Control shipping temperatures

By placing OTFLOW on the floor of the reefer container you ensure optimal internal air flow.

The unique shape of the OTFLOW floor cover eliminates temperature differences. This results in homogeneous, high-quality fruit and fewer claims and financial losses.

Get the cold air where it needs to be

and keep all your cargo in perfect shape

Airflow - standard

The cold air from the cooling unit is not being distributed to all corners of the container. This creates hot spots that increase the respiration rate of the fruit.

Airflow - with OTFLOW®

With OTFLOW installed underneath the pallets the cold air reaches all corners, eliminating all hot spots that can harm the precious cargo during transport.

Quick and Easy

Watch our 2 minute animation and discover the ease of placing OTFLOW. It does not affect the loading time at all.

For homogeneous fruit

OTFLOW makes sure the air is being well distributed in the container, providing the same fruit quality from front to back.

100% Recycled material

OTFLOW is made from 100% recycled and FSC Certified paper and cartboard layers. It is strong and water proof too!

Made to keep fruit cool

Protect your fruit with OTFLOW against the 3 main causes of temperature rise during shipping.

1. Ambient temperature

Most fruit we consume is often grown on the other side of the planet. To get to our local supermarket the shipments cross zones with high ambient temperatures.

Because temperatures reach 30+ degrees Celsius near the equator, the cooling units must work hard to keep the temperature steady throughout the long journey.

2. Below deck

In general, more containers are stowed below deck than above. High temperatures down the cargo hold are amplified by the reefer’s cooling units.

Outside air is used to control rising temperatures below deck. This method has little impact when crossing areas where the ambient temperatures are high, like the tropics.

3. Made for boxes

The T-Bar floor of a reefer unit is actually designed to ship boxes. When carton boxes cover the channels of the reefers floor, the cold air from the cooling unit can reach all corners of the container.

Unfortunately for air distribution, in today’s world, fruit is mostly being transported on pallets. Pallets only partially cover the channels of the floor, resulting in pressure loss that makes it impossible for the cold air to reach all the way through to the container.
